About two years ago I bought an off-white ceramic garden stool from Big Lots for $20. It lived in our very empty living room for its first year.
After that the finish became chipped and the off-white finish turned yellow so I decided to paint it peacock blue. It was gorgeous and lovely as all peacocks are, but another year later and I was ready for a pop of color.
Here’s the peacock color:
I took her out to our garage for a coat or primer. Here’s what she looked like after that task:
Then I brought the paint party inside and decided to paint her yellow. I used a small foam roller and some acrylic enamel paint by Krylon.
But after a coat of yellow I decided red would be better. What, can’t a girl change her mind?
So after several light coats of red here she is. The Lady in Red.
And here she is with my favorite chinese chippendale chair.
I’m making some changes to our living room but hope to have them wrapped up soon for a room reveal post.
